Anna's Cat History

Animals have been a huge part of my life since birth. Below are slide shows of my animals. The bunny which had no name was my first rescue when I was 3 yrs old and had to climb out of my crib to put him back in his enclosure before my parents saw him out and about, I then climbed back into my crib and no one ever knew.  Angel the Pekinese was our only family dog. , A donkey in Mexico,my 6 guinea pigs, King, my stray dog, Eddie and Rusty, my stray cats, and the house where my cat career started.  Notice the cat house at the lower right.

My first indoor cats were Oinkypig the orange maine coon and Fillet Mignon the calico. I actually moved into an apartment that would allow me to have a cat. I ended up rescuing Fillet off the streets in Humbolt Park when she was dumped by her previous people.  I adopted Oinkypig from Filines, Inc back when they were in Rogers Park in a basement apartment.

My third set of felines overlapped with Fillet, followed by Holstein (see if you can guess which one that is) and Mardigras.

My fourth group included Holstein, Peachie, Zebo, Diamond, then we fostered a pregnant Maya, who gave birth to Luiggi, Chunky, Buster and Boosie.  Later we take in Jolie, a little calico mother whose kitten I had caught and adopted out to my friend Jeanne.  Jolie remained feral for many years.  We then took in George our tabby boy, who we started seeing in the yard.  He in turn pointed out a little tortie female we named Lola.  Since George and Lola took such a liking to each other, we kept them both.

A few years later we found 5 10 week old kittens in the yard.  four of them were taken in by Tree House for adoption, however, we kept Shaman, the orange tabby boy.    Then at the end of 2009 we TNRed (trap/neuter/release) a black and white male in the yard we named Tuxie.
